Arrive in Chengdu, the vibrant capital of Sichuan and a must-visit destination on our China tours. Begin your culinary adventure with a modern take on Sichuan cuisine at a renowned restaurant located on the historic Anshun Bridge, offering a perfect introduction to Chengdu’s famous fiery flavours.

Day 2:

The Heart of Chengdu

Today, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Chengdu with visits to iconic landmarks such as Dufu’s Cottage and Wuhou Shrine. Take a relaxing tea break at People's Park or explore Chengdu’s cutting-edge mega-malls for some shopping. In the evening, head to Kuanzhai Alley to indulge in a traditional spicy hotpot dinner, experience the city’s vibrant nightlife, and enjoy a captivating Sichuan face-changing performance.

Day 3:

Discover Leshan's Giant Buddha

Embark on a day trip to see the awe-inspiring Leshan Giant Buddha, a 71-metre-tall statue carved into the cliffs over 1,300 years ago. Explore the surrounding park and take in stunning views from various vantage points. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride for a unique perspective of the Buddha. Return to Chengdu for a special dinner featuring a modern twist on an imperial banquet, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of China.

Day 4:

Say hello to Pandas and Dujiangyan

Start your day with a visit to the Panda Base, where you can observe pandas at different stages of life in their natural habitat. Continue your journey to Dujiangyan, the world’s oldest surviving irrigation system built during the Qin Dynasty, and a highlight of our China tours. As night falls, witness the mesmerising "blue tears" of Dujiangyan before retreating to a cosy mountain lodge for a peaceful evening.

Day 5:

Departure from Chengdu

Visit Qingcheng Mountain, known to be the sacred birthplace of Taoism and is one of the most important Taoist mountains in China. This ancient cradle of faith is dotted with picturesque and ancient temples, all enhanced by a spectacular view. Return to Chengdu and conclude your memorable journey at the airport, ready to continue on to your next destination in China.
